The short version

PlancoVerse exists because great creations deserve more than a code box.

Frontier Workshop is still required for in-game access, but PlancoVerse helps build the community layer around it: better search, creator pages, add-ons, galleries, discussions, saved content, recommendations and visibility for smaller creators.

It is not trying to replace Frontier Workshop. It works alongside Frontier Workshop by improving discovery, creator profiles, add-ons, galleries, community discussion, recommendations, and long-term visibility around shared creations.

Questions people ask

Basics5 Questions
Why should I use PlancoVerse if Frontier Workshop already exists?

Frontier Workshop is where your creations are downloaded into the game. PlancoVerse is designed to build everything around that experience.

We've focused on making it easier to discover creators, browse creations, share add-ons, showcase galleries, follow your favourite builders, join discussions and find inspiration. Rather than replacing Frontier Workshop, PlancoVerse aims to complement it by making the wider community easier to explore.

Is PlancoVerse free?

Yes. The core experience is completely free to use.

You can browse creations, discover creators, participate in the community and access the majority of PlancoVerse without paying. Premium simply adds optional convenience and cosmetic benefits while helping support the platform's ongoing development.

Will PlancoVerse ever become pay-to-use?

No.

Our goal is to keep the core community experience free. Premium exists to support hosting and development while offering additional features for those who choose to support the platform. We don't believe sharing creativity should be locked behind a subscription.

Why do I need an account?

Accounts power the features that make PlancoVerse more than a basic link directory: favourites, follows, creator profiles, galleries, notifications, forums, live chat, moderation and future creator tools.

They also help PlancoVerse tailor recommendations to you when you are logged in, so your feed can become more relevant to the creations, creators, tags and topics you interact with.

We only want accounts to exist where they genuinely add value to the experience.

Is PlancoVerse affiliated with Frontier Developments?

No. PlancoVerse is an independent community platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Frontier Developments.

Planet Coaster™, Planet Zoo™, Frontier Workshop and related names belong to their respective owners.

Workshop & Uploads6 Questions
Why does PlancoVerse use Workshop Codes?

We would love to support direct blueprint hosting if it was legally and reliably possible. Right now, Planet Coaster 2™ creations are tied to Frontier Workshop, so PlancoVerse works with Workshop Codes rather than trying to bypass them.

That means PlancoVerse can improve discovery, creator visibility, add-ons, galleries and community features while still respecting Frontier Developments' current ecosystem.

Can PlancoVerse host blueprint files directly?

Not currently. Unless Frontier Developments provides official permission, an API, or a supported way for third-party platforms to host blueprint files, PlancoVerse will not put creators, users, or the platform at risk by distributing files unofficially.

If that ever changes, direct blueprint preservation and hosting would be something we would seriously explore.

Why don't you just build your own Workshop?

We'd love to support direct blueprint hosting if it were legally and technically possible.

At the moment, Planet Coaster 2™ creations rely on Frontier Workshop, and we respect those boundaries. Instead of attempting to bypass them, PlancoVerse focuses on improving everything around the Workshop, including discovery, creator recognition, community features and add-ons.

If official support for third-party blueprint hosting ever becomes available, it's something we'd be excited to explore.

Why do add-ons work differently to creations?

Add-ons, such as images, audio and supporting media, can be shared directly through PlancoVerse.

Blueprints are different because they rely on Frontier Workshop. At present, PlancoVerse cannot legally distribute blueprint files directly, so Workshop Codes are used instead.

Why don't you allow certain uploads?

PlancoVerse is designed to respect creators, players and game developers.

Uploads that infringe copyright, violate community guidelines or break applicable laws may be removed to help keep the platform safe and enjoyable for everyone.

What can't PlancoVerse do yet?

Some things are outside our control right now. PlancoVerse cannot legally host blueprint files directly, cannot bypass Frontier Workshop, cannot control Workshop outages, and cannot change how the game imports creations.

What we can do is improve the experience around that system.

Premium & Funding4 Questions
Why is Premium visible but not available yet?

Premium has been built into the platform, but it is intentionally disabled during the public beta.

The goal is to earn trust first, gather feedback, improve the core experience, and make sure any paid features feel fair before asking anyone to pay.

Premium is designed to support the platform's running costs while keeping the core community experience free.

What does Premium support?

Premium helps support hosting, storage, development and future improvements for PlancoVerse.

It is intended to offer convenience and cosmetic upgrades, not lock the heart of the community behind a paywall.

Why is there advertising?

Running PlancoVerse involves ongoing costs such as hosting, storage and development.

Advertising helps keep the platform free for everyone while reducing the need to place core features behind a paywall. We aim to keep advertising as respectful and unobtrusive as possible.

Can I support PlancoVerse without Premium?

Absolutely.

One of the biggest ways to support the platform is simply by being part of the community.

Uploading creations, sharing add-ons, reporting bugs, suggesting new features, helping other users, inviting friends and spreading the word all help PlancoVerse continue to grow.

Discovery & Creators6 Questions
Why do you verify creators?

Verification helps users identify genuine creators and gives recognition to those actively contributing to the community.

It also helps reduce impersonation and makes it easier for people to discover the original creator behind a build.

Can anyone become a Creator or Partner?

Creator and Partner accounts are designed for members who actively contribute to the community.

Creator accounts recognise established content creators and unlock additional creator-focused features.

Partner accounts recognise creators and community members who work closely with PlancoVerse to help grow the platform and its community.

Each programme has its own eligibility requirements, which may change as PlancoVerse evolves.

How are featured creations chosen?

Featured creations are selected based on a combination of creativity, quality, originality and community value.

We don't simply feature the biggest creators or the most downloaded uploads. One of our goals is to help outstanding creations from creators of all sizes reach a wider audience.

How do recommendations work?

Recommendations are designed to help users discover creations they'll genuinely enjoy.

Rather than relying solely on popularity, PlancoVerse considers multiple factors to provide relevant suggestions while also giving newer and smaller creators opportunities to be discovered.

Logged-in accounts help with this because they let PlancoVerse understand the creations, creators, tags and topics a member interacts with, then use that activity to make that member's feed more relevant over time.

We don't publish the exact algorithm, as it's continually refined to keep recommendations fair and useful.

Does PlancoVerse favour Partners?

No.

Partner status does not automatically improve search rankings or recommendation placement.

Partners are recognised for their involvement with the community, but discovery systems are designed to remain fair for everyone.

How does PlancoVerse help smaller creators?

PlancoVerse is being designed so discovery is not based only on popularity. Recommendations, featured areas and creator tools should help newer and smaller creators get seen alongside established names.

The goal is to make discovery feel fair, useful and community-driven.

Ownership & Data3 Questions
Who owns the content I upload?

You do.

Uploading content to PlancoVerse does not transfer ownership of your work. You retain ownership of everything you create and share, subject to our Terms of Service.

Can I delete my content?

Yes.

You can remove your uploads whenever you choose. Once removed, they will no longer appear publicly on PlancoVerse, although temporary backups or cached data may exist for a limited period as part of normal platform operations.

Is my data sold?

No.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Any information collected is used to operate and improve PlancoVerse, provide the features you use and help keep the platform secure. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

Future & Support5 Questions
What happens if Frontier Developments improves Frontier Workshop?

That would be a good thing. PlancoVerse is not built around hoping Frontier Workshop fails.

If Frontier Developments improves search, stability, comments, browsing or creator tools, PlancoVerse can still act as the community layer around the games: profiles, add-ons, galleries, discussions, guides, discovery and creator support.

Why doesn't PlancoVerse support Planet Zoo 2 yet?

Planet Zoo 2™ support is planned from day one of its release.

We're building the platform so both Planet Coaster™ and Planet Zoo™ communities can share the same experience while keeping game-specific content organised and easy to browse.

What happens if PlancoVerse ever closes?

We have no plans for that, and we're building PlancoVerse with the long term in mind.

If circumstances ever changed, our aim would be to communicate openly with the community and provide as much notice as reasonably possible, giving creators time to preserve their content and prepare for any changes.

How can I influence the future of PlancoVerse?

Community feedback plays a huge role in how PlancoVerse evolves.

Whether it's through the forums, live chat, support, bug reports or feature suggestions, we're always listening. Many improvements begin as conversations with the community, and every piece of constructive feedback helps shape the future of the platform.
